Congrats indeed. Whats a treat to see.
"It's cute." She said, perking up when she thought she saw her line move, then sighing when it resettled. "You looked happy from what I could see. You deserve it."

Night Sky opened her mouth to reply, but stopped as he spoke again.
She nearly dropped her rod off the boat when she barked out a laugh. "Hahaha! Sorry!" She lowered her voice. "Sorry. I'm going to scare the damn fish if you crack more jokes like that."

Night Sky wiped a tear from her eye, those last little giggles escaping before she took a breath and calmed herself.
Color crept across her cheeks, and she figured she could blame it on how hard she was laughing and not the fact that that was one of the sweetest things anyone said to her.
"As sweet as that is, we need to catch some fish for dinner! I don't want to go hunting tonight and take time from our camping."

She grinned when he said rod. Because of course she did. But she also took the instructions to heart and started gently moving her rod and reeling slowly.
"A lot more fun fishing with you than it ever was back home."

"It definitely helps." Beats staring at nothing otherwise. Although Finnick and his sexiness was a terrible distraction while fishing.
Night Sky would have been perfectly content not having the rod shoved at her so suddenly, but even while briefly panicked, she managed the hand-off and turned, reeling in as fast as she could and with all the strength she had in her.
A few things happened in the next few seconds. First, the rather large bass on the end of the line rose up from the water as Night Sky pulled it up. Then, there was a loud yelp, a splash, and a moment where the boat might have flipped entirely before it settled, revealing a flopping fish on the floor of the planks, and Night Sky nowhere to be seen.

[ dolph takes it in, curiously. these kinds of places are always fascinating to him. bedrooms, houses, homes . . . he has no experience in living in one. his own house has a few bits and ends but . . . they were things given to him by others. ]
It's nice.
[ he sits down next to finnick. ]
Are you planning on getting anything else for it?
