It was hard not to think about the doom and gloom what-if's, given how she suffered so many in the various worlds she was thrust into. It was likely inevitable that Finnick would disappear too — or she would. But she tried not to think about it while he was here, now, because it wasn't fair and it wasn't right to waste their time together with misery.

She closed her eyes, relishing in the familiar warmth and the feeling of him against her. She rested her hands along his arms, smiling despite the tears slowly rolling down her cheeks.
