"Mmkay." He sighs softly, closing his eyes and resting for a few more minutes. He could fall asleep, but he won't. In his opinion, she's done a lot of the work here, and he wants to take care of her in return for all the attention she's given him.
Eventually he shifts, pulling her gently out of him, and sits up. Damn, he's not sure his ass will be the same for a while after this. He lays her on the bed and unstraps her, pulling the harness off, and then lifts and carries her to the bath. He sits her on the edge of it while he runs it, adding some rose-scented stuff to it.
"I'll try to stay awake in here this time," he jokes softly, kissing her forehead.
Night Sky tried her best not to be entirely useless for the entire process; but it was so hard not to just lie there and appreciate the feeling of his hands on her, working so diligently and tender.
"I can't make the same promise." She replied with a quiet little laugh, reaching out to brush her fingers along his bicep. "Warm, rose scented water, my strong and beautiful boyfriend wrapping me up in his arms. A recipe for a nap if I ever heard one."
Finnick doesn't mind her being useless; that's the point, anyway. He cradles her carefully as he picks her up, as though she's something extremely precious.
Strong... She thinks he's strong. That makes him feel warm. He smiles to himself.
"You're allowed to sleep. In fact, you should. I'll keep watch and take you to bed when it's time."
He lowers her slowly into the warm water, then steps in behind her, grabbing a sponge and some soap on his way in. He lathers it and begins to gently clean her.
"Mm. My sweet protector." She murmured, feeling more and more lethargic the longer she lingered near the tub and then, eventually, in the warm, floral scented water. One would think she was the one run ragged by her horny girlfriend all day with how her eyelids drooped.
She leaned forward so he could get at her back, gathering up the wild curls of her hair out of the way. "You ever just... meet someone and know they're meant for you?" She asked absently. "I felt that way since we met. Just — it felt right. Hadn't even crossed my mind how strange it might be to feel so familiar with someone I had never met before." She said, seemingly out of nowhere. "Like you've been with me forever, it just took a while to find you."
"Mmm." He hums in agreement as he gently scrubs her back with his real hand and the sponge.
"I feel exactly the same way, my love. I've never had a doubt in my mind that we're meant for each other. It's just so easy to be with you."
He kisses the nape of her neck. Finnick likes his other partners, loves some of them, even, but many of them are difficult to get to know and get close to, and require a lot of patience. With Night Sky, Finnick never needs to hold himself back for fear of scaring her off or being too much for her. They can both be completely themselves. Their emotional, slutty, messy, clingy, fun-loving selves.
Night Sky sniffed quietly and raised a hand up to gently brush her fingertips over his cheek when he leaned down to kiss her neck. Of course she was crying — somehow still shocked when feelings were reciprocated so easily. Then again, it wasn't so easy for some of her other partners, so maybe Finnick's willingness to speak as frankly as she did helped.
She leaned back once he was done washing her back and rested her head against his shoulder. "I'm glad you're here. This world is fucking stupid sometimes, but at least Vaeros was smart enough to bring me you."
"Oh, love," he whispers as he realizes she's crying, and rinses her back quickly to pull her back into his arms. He wipes her cheeks, but doesn't tell her to stop; Finnick believes feeling deeply is a strength rather than a weakness, and thinks it's beautiful that she cares so deeply for everyone around her. Her tears show her devotion, her anxieties and worries about losing the lot of them show how much she loves them. He wouldn't dare suppress that or take it away, though he does try to reassure her or keep her mind distracted off of the doom and gloom "what-ifs" at times.
He kisses her neck softly, holding her securely.
"I'm grateful every day that I found you. If I have any say in it, I'm never leaving your side."
It was hard not to think about the doom and gloom what-if's, given how she suffered so many in the various worlds she was thrust into. It was likely inevitable that Finnick would disappear too — or she would. But she tried not to think about it while he was here, now, because it wasn't fair and it wasn't right to waste their time together with misery.
She closed her eyes, relishing in the familiar warmth and the feeling of him against her. She rested her hands along his arms, smiling despite the tears slowly rolling down her cheeks. She wasn't sad anyway. Just... overwhelmed. "Same goes for me." She murmured. "That I'm grateful, and that I won't leave you — and even if I do, I'll find you. I promise."
Finnick doesn't have any particularly concrete facts on how it all works in terms of people leaving, returning, existing even after they die in another plane, et cetera. But what's important to him is that Night Sky pledges to stay with him, to do what's in her power for them to be together. That's more than he's had in past relationships, and for him, it's enough.
He presses a long kiss to her cheek.
"I know, baby," he murmurs. He knows she would do anything to keep her loved ones near her. That much has been clear all along. "I love you."
"I love you, too." She squeezed hid arms, sighed, and let herself rest fully in his embrace, soon falling asleep as they both seemed inclined to do once settled in a bath together.
Finnick sighs, slumped between her and the side of the tub, his chin resting on her shoulder. He could easily fall asleep, but he stays awake, his eyes drooping and blinking slow but still open enough to keep him aware of their surroundings. He lets her sleep for a while, though isn't sure exactly how long with his own microsleeps warping time. When he lacks confidence in his ability to stay awake at all, he rouses himself with a deep breath and some blinks. He leans forward so that she will, holding her up while he extracts himself from them tub and grabs a towel. He dries himself enough not to drip everywhere, then lifts her up and wraps her in a dry towel. He carries her to bed, laying her down gently, and finishes drying her off with the towel before crawling in next to her. He wraps himself around her again, protectively, and passes out.

On the other hand, he was making a pretty direct request, and she wouldn't want to deny him that.
"If you really want, baby. No rush."
