Night Sky felt her cheeks flush, and she was so tempted to just say fuck it to the s'mores and kiss him again, harder, longer.
Soon. She did turn her head to kiss his temple. "I like that you're mine." She murmured into his hair. "And I plan to keep you, sweet thing."
Night Sky urged his stick back, the marshmallow nice and toasty brown. She gathered up the crackers and chocolate. "Here hold this." She handed him said cracker and chocolate, then grabbed the marshmallow and squished it onto the chocolate. "Okay, now you get another cracker and squish it all together."
He smiles against her, then sits up again to make the s'more.
"Squiiiiiish," he says, as he squishes the sandwich all together. It just seems right to say it.
He laughs in amazement as he examines the sandwich of pure sugar. Then he takes a bite. The marshmallow gets all over his lips and fingers, but it tastes amazing.
Eh. Someone in Faerie probably told her what an airplane was. She fucked in a car once! Yay modern vehicles!
She opened her mouth, took a bite, and moaned as the sugary sweetness hit her tongue. "Whoever invented these should be ascended to godhood." She said, chocolate and marshmallow goo along the corner of her mouth.
She gasped. "S'more angel. S'mangel." She laughed, reaching for his hand and raising it to her lips so she could lick the remnants of the snack off his fingers. "Mmn. Didn't think it could taste any better, but clearly I was wrong."
His laughter was contagious, and she couldn't stop herself even while trying to be sexy. Night Sky giggled softly as he moved in closer, letting his hand drop from her grasp so she could lean in, head tilted.
"You don't have to ask twice, sweet thing." She purred, cupping his cheek and kissing him, tongue rolling over the remnants of chocolate and marshmallow on his lips.
Odd how the thing that ultimately made him fall for her was just these stupid jokes, these laughing fits. There are so few people Finnick can laugh with. Sure, he laughs a lot, but it feels so much better when it's shared.
He melts into her kiss, savoring the feeling of her skilled tongue lapping up the sweets, and he licks her lips in return. He loops his arms around her neck, humming in a satisfied way as he leans into her. Oddly, though, he doesn't necessarily want to have sex. He's enjoying just... Hanging out with her. He breaks the kiss, lingering with his forehead against hers.
Night Sky slid her arms around him in turn, held him close while they kissed. And when he pulled back, she happily let her forehead rest against his.
There was a moment where the world seemed to stand still. Where the flickering flames of firelight blurred in her periphery, and only Finnick remained. What she was about to do next was... crazy. So quick even for her. But it felt right, like so many things did with him.
"You can't tell anyone. Promise me." She sounded serious. More serious than Night Sky ever was.
She took a breath. "So Sylvan elves have two names. It's something we've always done — public names like Night Sky and Frost Hand and stuff like that. But we have private names too, reserved for family and people we trust implicitly. Only — only Arrakis, Lehna and Red Son know it here now." She bit her lip. "I want you to know it, too."
She gasped softly; shivered and leaned forward to hide her face against his neck. Always a shock to hear it said back in a voice belonging to someone she truly cared for.
"I — thank you, and you're welcome. I don't know what it is, Finnick, but I trust you. It's so easy. Everything is around you."
Night Sky stayed there, nestled in his embrace, safe and content and warm.
"Mm." She hummed in agreement. "I feel like... you get me. It's so easy to be myself with you." She chuckled. "And you're hilarious. I haven't laughed this much in forever."
She sighed happily, not even realizing tears had formed in the dips of her eyes until they were already falling.
"Look what you did..." She was laughing though, even as she wiped the tears from her eyes. "People call me beautiful all the time," regarding her appearance, but she knew that's not what he meant, "but I believe it when you say it."
Night Sky tried and failed to choke back a sob, the swelling of heat in her chest too much to bear. She was overwhelmed, at a loss for words.
No one had ever unraveled her so easily. She whined and shoved herself into him again, face buried in the connection of his neck and shoulder. "You feel like home."
She went willingly; happily nestled into his embrace, head turning just enough that her voice wouldn't be muffled. She sniffed.
"I'm glad. I'm so glad I found you." Gods it would kill her if he left. A terrible thought to consider, especially since he has only just arrived, but it felt like she had known him her entire life. Time rarely made sense for Night Sky — and it especially didn't make sense around him, in the best way possible.
She chuckled weakly "It's been such an amazing day, of course I had to start crying."

"It's soooo good, right?" She asked. "Let me have a bite." She opened her mouth, fully ready to lick his fingers once they were close enough.

He smiles and carefully carried the sandwich toward Sky's mouth.
"Here comes the airplane..."
Wait, she might have no idea what an airplane is?? Whatever.

"Only if you're made an angel for spreading the good word about them." He pops the rest of the 'more into his mouth.
"Fuckin'... S'more Jesus. I'm saved."

"Licking my fuckin' fish fingers, gross..." He says as his laughter begins to subside. He gets up close to her again.
"Should lick my fish lips instead."

"Can I tell you a secret?"

"Of course."
He'll never again use secrets as a form of leverage, but he still loves them.

"I promise," he says just as seriously.
Only those three, her closest people... Not even Adam, who's been here longer... And now him?
"Wow... I'd be honoured, Sky."

"It's Daeleth." She finally said after a pause. "You can — you can call me that in private, or around the others."

"That's a beautiful name. Thank you for telling me, love."

He kisses the curls around her antlers.
"I'm glad you can be yourself. You're such a beautiful person."

"Good. You better. You're..."
It's so hard to describe.
"I don't know. For once, I don't have the words to describe you. Nothing does you justice."
Nothing but I love you.

That didn't help at all.
Night Sky tried and failed to choke back a sob, the swelling of heat in her chest too much to bear. She was overwhelmed, at a loss for words.

"Oh, love... You made me feel at home here as soon as I arrived. I can't thank you enough. I needed it. I needed to find someone like you."
Finnick has more than enough emotionally constipated men in his life. Sky is so expressive, open, and caring. He didn't know how much he needed that.
